WHAT TO EXPECT AT 8 WEEKS PREGNANCY

Your baby is now approximately the size of a grape. His tiny hands and feet are now developing webbed little fingers and toes. The baby, at this very stage moves a lot though, you might not be able to feel it just yet.

Physical changes

You might be feeling fatigued all the time as your body is working very hard to help nourish and accomodate the baby. High levels of hormones in your system might be contributing to feelings of nausea and even morning sickness. Also, your uterus is expanding and is almost the size of a grapefruit. The growing uterus puts pressure on the bladder, which means more frequent trips to the bathroom.Constipation is another problem that worries many pregnant women and occurs due to food moving much slower through your system than usual.
Management of early pregnancy symptoms
To manage these symptoms, do not feel guilty about sleeping an hour extra. Your body needs sufficient rest, at this time. Also, morning sickness can be managed with medicines, which your doctor will prescribe you. To avoid feeling bloated, have lighter meals. Keep munching something at a gap of every two hours or so. Buy a bra with good support to make you feel more comfortable. Also, having to pee more is no excuse to drink less water. It is very important to stay sufficiently hydrated during pregnancy. Lastly, go for a light walk around the block for 15 to 20 minutes, unless advised otherwise. Pregnancy is a good time to play it safe so, avoid any activity that puts strain on your body.
